Agricultural extension refers to educating the farmers on application of new knowledge and scientific research to agricultural practices, knowledge of agronomic techniques and skills to improve crop productivity, food security and livelihoods. It covers a wider range of learning activities organized for farmers by experts from various areas like agriculture, agricultural marketing, health, and business studies. It is sometimes referred to as agricultural advisory services.
