Over one-third of the world's labours are employed in agriculture, second only to the service sector. Though in past few decades, the number of agricultural workers has been reducing, especially in developing countries due to increase in industrial agriculture and mechanization. Person employed for labour in agriculture is known as farmworker or agricultural worker or farmer or agriculturer.
