Abstract:

Climate change has been a major concern globally, influencing various environmental factors, including agriculture. This study explores the effect of temperature variability and extremes on crop selection, particularly in Maharashtra, India. The research identifies key temperature-related parameters affecting crops, including deviation from long-period averages, daily-scale variability, and diurnal temperature range. Furthermore, models are developed to predict crop feasibility, extreme weather events, and climate anomalies such as El Nino. The study provides valuable insights into sustainable agricultural planning and risk management.

Biography:

Ajay is leading implementation of Digital Farm across globe which includes deployment of IoT system, integration of multi-level data set to DFI platform. His area of expertise is in embedded System architecture designing and product realization, IoT Sensor technology, Wireless communication, Data Analytics, Customer Relationship Management, consulting and client engagement. He holds a M.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication from NIT Nagpur and associated with TCS since last 17 years represented TCS for multiple National and International awards, patents, various International papers. Prior to TCS, he worked as a Scientist in TIFR.
