Biography:
Dr. Alexandra Solomou is a Principal Researcher in Plant Biodiversity of Forest Ecosystems at Institute of Mediterranean Forest Ecosystems (IMFE), ELGO-DIMITRA. Her interests are focused on the monitoring, evaluation, conservation and utilization of plant diversity in Mediterranean and Forest ecosystems. She has published 75 articles in international peer reviewed journals and more than 60 article in National and International conferences. Also, she has participated in 40 national and international research projects funded by various authorities/ organizations/ private companies (European Commission, Greece). She is also a member of the National Committee of Protected Areas “NATURA 2000” and a National Focal Point of FAO organization for Biodiversity for Food and Agriculture.
