Title : Survey and abundance of major insect pests on pomegranate fruits in Egypt

Abstract:

The present study was carried out to survey and evaluate the abundance of common pomegranate insect pests during 2016 and 2017 in Egypt. A total of 8 major pests belonging to 4 insect orders, 24 secondary pest species belonging to 6 orders and 23 minor pests belonging to 4 orders surveyed on pomegranate trees. A total of 63 natural enemies belonging to 30 families, were, also, found as natural enemies.

B.Sc in Agriculture science [General agricultural production Department], in 2009. Faculty of agriculture, South Valley University, Qena, Egypt. M. Sc. Master of Agricultural Sciences in Plant Protection (Economic Entomology) entitled; “Ecological And Control Studies On The Lesser Sugarcane Borer, Chilo Agamemnon Bles. Under Field Conditions In Quena Governorate ”(2014), Plant Protection Department, Faculty of Agriculture Sohag University, Egypt. Ph.D In Plant Protection Department, Faculty  of Agriculture Benha University, Egypt on “Integrated control of some pomegranate insect pests” 2020.
