Title : Effect of VIUSID agro in promoting growth in crops of the Cuban coffee agroecosystem

Abstract:

The use of VIUSID Agro® was studied in the production of coffee, cocoa, forestry and fruit trees present in the coffee agroecosystem of the mountains of Cuba.  The effect of concentrations of the biostimulant, the time of application and the varietal response of Coffea arabica L and Theobroma cacao L species was studied. By applying the concentration of 0.58 mL of VIUSID in one liter of water, higher and significant growth values were achieved and quality index of coffee seedlings. Applications to the third and fifth pair of leaves led to significant increases in the growth indicators of the coffee tree. In the production of seedlings in tubes, the concentration of 0.4 mL showed the greatest efficiency. The concentration of 0.7 mL caused the highest growth values and nutrient utilization efficiency by cocoa. The product divided into two or three applications increased the growth of cocoa seedlings. The technical effectiveness of the product was superior to Cuproflow in rust control. The forest species studied (cedro - Cedrela americana , bijáguara - Colubrina arborescens (Mill), soplillo- Lisiloma latisilicuum), teca - Tectonia grandis, eucalipto -  (Eucaliptus spp) y caoba de Honduras -Swietenia macrophylla King)  responded positively to the bioproduct at a concentration of 0.6 mL L-1 of water. The results were generalized in the Agro-Forest Companies of La Maya, San Luis and Tercer Frente
