Himanshu Verma

Biography:

Dr Himanshu Verma born on 7th February at Uttarakhand. He passed High School, Intermediate in 2005, 2007 with first divisions; thereafter he obtained his B.Sc. Ag., M. Sc. Ag. Agronomy and Ph. D. Agronomy degrees during 2011, 2015 and 2019; respectively with first divisions from Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. He had also worked over Dalmia Bharat Enterprise Limited, Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh as an Executive-cane in the field of “Sugarcane Development” during June 2011 to March 2013. Dr Verma was “Uttarakhand Biology Topper”, “Gold Medalist” and recipient of “DBT Biology scholarship award” from Government of India, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, during 2007 on the basis of his outstanding performance in biology at Intermediate level. He also received “Graduate Research Assistantship” from Directorate of Experiment Station of GBPUA&T, Pantnagar during his Master’s degree program and National Fellowship from University Grant Commission (UGC) during Ph.D. during 2013-15 and2015-19, respectively. He has also qualified ICAR, ASRB- NET for the year 2015, 2017 & 2018 and successfully passed National Service Scheme (N. S. S.) “B” Certificate Examination during 2008-09. Dr Verma has completed more than 10 Scientific Training Programs on various agricultural aspects from different institutions and an ISO 9001: 2008, “Quality Management System”, Internal Auditor Training organized by Vexil Business Process Services Private Limited. Dr Verma is recipient of “Best Master Thesis Award” and “Best Agronomist Award- 2019” during International Conferences on various agronomic aspects and has participated in more than 25 scientific National and International conferences/ seminars/symposiums/webinars. He also has become life member of more than 3 scientific societies. Dr Verma has published over 10 research papers and 3 review papers in National and International referred journals; more than 20 research articles/abstracts/extended summaries in National and International conferences; more than 30 popular articles; 4 chapters in manuscripts, 6 book chapters and 2 books. Dr Verma also serving as reviewer and editorial board member of many journals and magazines. Dr Verma had worked as Assistant professor Agronomy in Sri Guru Ram Rai (SGRR) University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand from March 2020 to June 2022 and has guided many M. Sc. Agronomy students. Dr Verma has published one patent on weather monitoring during 2022 and is currently working as Assistant Professor in the College of Agriculture & Environmental Technology of the Surajmal University, Kichha, Uttarakhand.
