Agriculture and Horticulture
Dear colleagues, innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and friends, It is my great honor to welcome you to the 6th Global Conference on Agriculture and Horticulture (AGRI 2026), to be held in the vibrant city of Rome, Italy. Continuing the theme “Frontiers and Advances in Agriculture and Horticultural Science,” the conference encompasses a broad landscape: from agricultural and horticultural sciences to soil and water resource management, from philosophical and methodological advances to policy and technological innovation. By bringing together researchers, scholars, industry professionals, and policymakers, AGRI-2026 aims to foster multidimensional dialogue and strategic thinking toward new pathways for global agricultural and water-resource sustainability. This year, the conference returns to Italy—a land whose brilliant achievements in philosophy, science, and engineering which may date back thousands of years and had driven some of the most profound intellectual leaps in human civilization. From the rational inquiries of ancient thinkers to the transformative creativity of the Renaissance, Italy’s great heritage reminds us that meaningful progress begins with the elevation of thought. In this spirit, AGRI-2026 invites us to adopt higher perspectives in reenvisioning the future of agriculture and horticulture, and to reshape our strategic vision for sustainable development through innovative, dimension-enhancing ideas. Within this conceptual framework, I will introduce recent developments in Suitaiology, the strategic study of water situations, and briefly highlight our work on a distributed network of ultra-micro underground storage bodies-Granular Processing Units (GPUs) that offers new possibilities for groundwater situation modulation and regional resilience. Suitaiology seeks to transform destructive hydrological forces into sustainable resources, outlining a pathway from Disaster → Resource → Recovery → Resilience (DRRR). May AGRI-2026 bring you valuable insights, productive collaborations, and renewed commitment to advancing the sustainable future of global agriculture and horticulture.
