Title : Bio fertilizers and bio insecticides
Abstract:
Excessive use of chemical products in agriculture leads to negative impacts on the environment, human health, and soil fertility. This project aims to develop a natural insect repellent and an ecological bio-fertilizer from local biological resources, to propose a sustainable, effective, and accessible alternative to farmers. The insect repellent will be formulated from plant extracts recognized for their repellent properties against pest insects, while the bio-fertilizer will be developed from organic matter and beneficial microorganisms promoting crop growth and soil fertility improvement. The project will rely on simple, environmentally friendly transformation methods adapted to local conditions. Main objectives are to reduce chemical pesticides and fertilizers use, improve agricultural productivity sustainably, and contribute to ecosystem protection. Expected outcomes include: - Effective, economically viable, and easily reproducible formulations - Adoption by small and medium-sized farms - Contribution to agroecology and sustainable development - Strengthening agricultural systems' resilience to environmental and climate challenges This conference project is part of an agroecology and sustainable development approach, promoting ecological farming practices and reducing chemical inputs.
