Biography:
Dr Solomon Newete is a Senior Researcher at the Agricultural Research Council-Institute for Natural Resources and Engineering (ARC-NRE) and a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand (School of Animal, Plant and Environmental Sciences) with research interest in Invasive Alien Plants, Agriculture, Remote Sensing, and Ecological and Environmental Restoration. He holds a doctoral degree in Environmental Sciences and MSc in Resource Conservation Biology from the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa) and a BSc degree in Plant Sciences (majoring in crops) from the University of Asmara, Eritrea.
