Biography:
Shri Mohan Jain is an Adjunct Professor, Department of Agricultural Sciences, University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, since 1993. Ph.D., 1978. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Israel and the USA, and a visiting scientist/Professor in Asia and Europe. He was a Technical Officer in Plant Breeding and Genetics at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, Austria. His publications include 230 in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings; he has edited 100 books and served as a chairperson at several international conferences worldwide. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 in commemoration of the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the IAEA that year.
