Biography:
Sr. Prof. M. H. Fulekar is an internationally renowned environmental scientist with more than 40 years of teaching and research experience in environmental science, climate change, environmental biotechnology, and nanotechnology. He has been recognized among the Top 2% Scientists in the World by Stanford University and Elsevier (2020–2025), ranking 38,162 globally across all fields. He has held several distinguished academic leadership positions, including Professor and Head of the Department of Life Sciences at the University of Mumbai, Dean and Director of the School of Environment and Sustainable Development at the Central University of Gujarat, and currently serves as Senior Professor and Research Advisor in Environmental Sciences at Parul University. Throughout his academic career, he has supervised 32 Ph.D. scholars and 22 M.Phil. scholars. He has authored more than 350 peer-reviewed research publications, over 400 NCBI accessions, 17 books, and more than 55 book chapters. His scholarly contributions are reflected in an h-index of 48, an i10-index of 120, and more than 9,128 citations. He also holds seven patents, demonstrating his commitment to innovation and applied environmental research.
