Ashita Rai

Biography:

Dr. Ashita Rai is an Assistant Professor in Environmental Sciences and serves as Scientist C (Non-Medical) on deputation at the Research and Development Cell, Parul University. She earned her doctoral degree in Environment and Sustainable Development from the Central University of Gujarat, Vadodara, India. Dr. Rai has made significant contributions as a young scientist in the fields of wastewater treatment, rhizosphere technology, and climate change. She has authored numerous research articles and book chapters and holds two patents in her area of expertise. She is also the author of the books Pandemic Over Centuries: In a Changing Environment (Springer) and Rhizosphere: Green Technology (Springer). Her research primarily focuses on the application of environmental biotechnology and nanotechnology to address critical environmental challenges, particularly in the areas of wastewater treatment and purification, as well as climate change. Through her innovative research, Dr. Rai continues to contribute to the development of sustainable environmental solutions and the advancement of a greener future.
