Dr. Aura Daraba is an Associate Professor of Faculty of Food Science and Engineering, University “Dunarea de Jos” of Galati, Romania. Her PhD and MSc degrees are in the areas of Food Engineering and Food Sciences. Dr. Daraba is an experienced professional in food science, food microbiology, microbial population shifting and interactions during processing or throughout the whole food chain, and food-related regulatory aspects.
Dr. Daraba has an ample experience in international collaborative work, and she is internationally recognized as international reviewer for grant proposals, reviewer for national and international food sciences journals, and organizer of national and international workshops, webinars, and conferences in food science and food safety areas.
Dr. Daraba’s research interests are related to Food safety and Food quality from Farm-to- Fork, Use of natural antimicrobials for meat, meat products, fruits and vegetables, Use of novel food processing technologies, Implementation of HACCP in food industry and in food service units.
